OBITUARY EXCERPT: Boonville, Indiana Standard (Tennyson News)- October 18, 1918:
Hannah Elizabeth, daughter of Samuel and Nancy Broshears, was born June 2, 1842. In December 1859, she was united in marriage with John Posey. To this union were born ten children, two girls and eight boys, six of whom and the husband have preceded her to the land beyond. The four children surviving are: Mrs. Frank Lamar, Thomas, J.F. and Shirley Posey. She also leaves thirteen grandchildren. In 1885 she was converted and united with the Primitive Baptist church at Little Zion. She remained a true and faithful member of this church until she transferred her membership to the church at Tennyson, of which she was a faithful member until her death, which occurred at her home here Oct. 9, 1918, at the age of 76 years, 4 weeks and 7 days. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Lanman at the home with burial at Little Zion. |
