Sherman Democrat, March, 1966 Obituary---Sherman, Texas SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. CORA BLOCKER TULEY, 82 Van Alstyne-- Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday in Flesher Funeral Chapel here for Mrs. Cora Jane Tuley, 82, of Van Alstyne, who die d at 3:50 a. m., Sunday in a Sherman hospital. She leaves 101 direct descendants. Rev. J. A. Moody, ministerof the Church of God, here, conducted the services. Burial was in Van Alstyne Cemetery. Mrs. Tuley was born March 28, 1884 in Tennessee, the daughter of William Richard and Ellen Elizabeth (Dickens) Blocker. She was a member of the Church of God. Survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Emily Sauls of Aubrey, Mrs. Lillie Jay of Denton, Mrs. Laura Angle of Ector, Mrs. Beulah Biby of Big Spring and Mrs. Jack Coonrod of Denison; five sons, Preston Tuley of Kerrville , W. P. Tuley of Frisco, Martin Tuleyof Huntsville, and Marvin and C harles Tuley of Sherman; 34 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs Roxie Hassell of Pie Town, N.M. and a brother, O. E. Blocker of Ponder. |
