1. Samuel LAMAR1,2,3,4 was born about 1762. He voted in the election for Congress and the Indiana Legislature in an election held at his house on 4 Aug 1817 in Hurricane Township, Spencer, Indiana.5 He signed a will on 17 Nov 1817 in , Spencer, Indiana.6 He signed a will on 25 Aug 1818 in , Spencer, Indiana.6 He died in 1823 in , Spencer, Indiana. He was buried in 1823. He is in Glenn Tuley's Database as GTDatabase #3265. Samuel Lamar was a member of the Little Pigeon Baptist Church in 1823. He is in the church minutes as early as 1818. Elijah Lamar, son of Samuel, was a member along with the Lincoln's.
Land records of Spencer County state Samuel was a taxpayer by 1815.
Spencer County Historical Society Bulletin states Samuel Lamar was in Huff Township in as early as 1812.
In 1825, Benjamin and Samuel Lamar formed the Bethlehem Regular Baptist Church. The first services were held in Samuel's home on the northwest side of Newtonville.

Samuel LAMAR and Nancy were married about 1790. Nancy4 died in 1829 in , Spencer, Indiana. She is in Glenn Tuley's Database as GTDatabase #3266. Samuel LAMAR and Nancy had the following children:
