1. Uriah LAMAR1,2,3,4 was born about 1780 in , , Tennessee. He was an election judge and voted on 4 Aug 1817 in Hurricane Township, Spencer, Indiana.5 He died before 29 Nov 1841 in , Spencer, Indiana. He was buried in , Spencer, Indiana. He has Ancestral File Number 1WKB-C7C. He is in Glenn Tuley's Database as GTDatabase #2837. Uriah Lamar came to what became Spencer County in 1806 and settled on land a mile or so north east of what is now Grandview, Indiana. After Indiana became a state, and Spencer Couny was formed, Uriah became a Justice of the Peace in September 1818. Uriah was also elected sheriff in 1822 and again in 1834. A wonderful account of Uriah and Chief Set-te-Down is included in the Sesquicentennial.

Uriah LAMAR and Polly BUTLER were married before 1800 in , , Kentucky. They were divorced in 1802 in , , Kentucky. They were divorced in Apr 1816 in , Spencer, Indiana.6 !The marriage to Hannah Morton was a bigimist marriage, as Uriah's divorce from Polly was no t finalized at the time. Uriah was fine $300.00 for this little indescresion. Polly BUTLER4 was born about 1770 in , , Kentucky. Uriah LAMAR and Polly BUTLER had the following children:

Uriah LAMAR and Hannah MORTON were married about 1808 in Duck River, Hickman, Tennessee. Hannah MORTON4 was born about 1778 in , , Georgia. She died about 1842 in , Spencer, Indiana. Uriah LAMAR and Hannah MORTON had the following children:
