First Generation

1. Thomas TULEY¹ was born about 1709.² He died in Sep 1746 in , , New Jersey.³ He is in Glenn Tuley's Database as GTDatabase #2. Another opinion:
The New Jersey Thomas Tuly who married Mary Scott was actually Thomas Tollet. The last "t" was silent. Similar to "Bennett," and "Benet." It is thought that this Thomas may have been the son of Marcus Tollet, a graduate of Trinity College in Dublin, and the grandson of Thomas Tollet, the musician.

At the time of his death in 1714, Marcus Tollet was headmaster of the bishop's "free" school in Westminster and his widow asked for a pension. She signed her request as Eleanor Tollet, but the pension was granted to her as "Elinor Tuly." Interesting. Quite possibly, all of these families are one and the same.

Thomas TULEY and Mary SCOTT were married in 1729 in , Burlington, New Jersey. Mary SCOTT^1,3 (daughter of John SCOTT and Mary BILLIS) was born on 30 Aug 1712 in , , England. She died in 1793. She is in Glenn Tuley's Database as GTDatabase #3. Some sources list her first name as "Mercy". Thomas TULEY and Mary SCOTT had the following children:
