The "Tuley Certainty Scale":

 

0-----1-----2-----3-----4-----5-----6-----7-----8-----9-----10

Where:

0 = No chance. Too much irreconcilable evidence.
1 = Not likely. Conflicting data makes it appear unlikely.
2 = Possible connection. Some conflicting evidence, but nothing definitive.
3 = Possible connection. Dates allow for the possibility. Nothing rules it out.
4 = Possible connection. Dates allow for the possibility. Circumstantial evidence.
5 = Probable connection. Dates allow for the possibility. Some evidence.
6 = Probable connection. Dates put people in the right place at the right time.
7 = Likely connection. Dates and places match and are well documented.
8 = Likely connection. Dates and places match along with other data.
9 = Connection. Dates and places and other corroborating data point to a connection.
10= Positive proof. Have an original document stating so.
