John Bolling was born at the family home at Kippax Plantation and lived there as a child. Kippax Plantation, the home of John's parents Colonel Robert Bolling and Jane Rolfe Bolling, was located on the south bank of the Appomattox River in what is today the City of Hopewell in southeast Virginia. |
