Glenn, I feel certain that this creek was named after my gr-gr-uncle Samuel Preston Tuley son of Charles and Polly who married a Yurok woman and had three daughters and two sons. He left Lincoln County, TN and took a ship out to the coast of California I'm guessing for the gold rush. I love your website. Nancy McGinty
