"All available references to the wife of Obadiah Seeley have been considered and investigated and analyzed. My conclusion is that she was probably not named Mary Angell, as so often proposed (although she was indeed the widow of John Miller.)" "It is unlikely that Mary ____, the wife of (1) John Miller and (2) Obadiah Seeley was named Mary Angell, since no primary source documentation of that fact is evident, since the original assertion cannot be found using reasonable means, and since it has recently been demonstrated that no relationship with Robert Husted should be assumed. More specifically, Mary was certainly not the daughter of James Angell and Ann Elliott of London, who would have been only about 9 years old at the time of the birth of John Miller’s first child (probably about 1635, place unknown), and for whom there is no evidence of a later life in New England."
