On 1 August 1687, Thomas Cocke Sr of the County and Parish of Henrico gives to his son, Stephen Cocke of the same county and parish, for "love & affection", 200 acres of land, "one part of which being part of a tract or dividend of land at Malvern Hills in the County of Henrico, & ye other part is a parcel of land which I bought of my brothers, Will'm & John Cocke, adjoining to ye land on Malvern Hills", and bounded by "my son, Thomas Cocke, Jun'r".
Below the deed, Thomas Cocke Sr states that his wife will relinquish her right of dower. This is signed by Thomas Cocke and Margaret Cocke.
